Jon C. "Jack" Russin, a graduate of his hometown Bellwood-Antis High School, attended Ferrum College in Virginia, Penn State University and graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1973. He continues to be active in his community serving on various committees, as well as being a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Excelsior Fire Company No. 1 of Bellwood. Jack also holds membership in several organizations, to include, Keystone Funeral Directors Association where he formerly served as president, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association having served four years on the Board of Directors and is currently serving as co-chairman of the Legislative Committee, and the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a charter member of the Gelder Foundation Mass Disaster Response Team, most notably know for USAir Flight 427 crash near Pittsburgh on September 8, 1994 and the Flight 93 Disaster in Shanksville on September 11, 2001. Jack was one of sixty eight Pennsylvania funeral directors selected to assist famlies at the initial memorial service at Shanksville.
He and his wife, Joanne, have three daughters, Beth, Jaclyn and Christine and seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Addison, Kole, Karley, Sophia, Julia and Carter.
